Chaotic Week!

It is coming up to 6 days since
B was admitted to the hospital and though we have figured out the root of his problem, it is now time for recuperation. I have no words to describe this chaotic feel inside whenever I arrive at and leave the hospital and coupled with another health emergency with my MIL, I have never been more frantic! adus

Of course I am keeping a strong front whenever possible but the stress of it all is slowly but surely creeping up on me and I can’t wait for things to return to normalcy once again. doa

After this trying time is over, there is nothing else more important than
B and me than going for a vacation. Yes, as selfish as that sounds, it is also true because vacationing and staying in beautiful apartments in Rome for instance, is the only way I can rejuvenate my weary soul after this immensely stressful week! tension

Baby Issy did cheer me up when she came to visit Uncle
B in the hospital. Isn’t she adorable with her tudung or head scarf? Apparently, she wears tudung at night, which I thought was so cute! ihikhik

Wakey wakey baby Issy!

Don't bug me Aunty Marzie!

So back to my vacation dream, I would truly love to be in Rome right now. B healthy and strong, by my side as we travel through the beautiful city of Rome; enjoying its classical architecture, the stunning panoramic view and the expansive villas and landscaped gardens Rome is renowned for whilst learning the rich history and cultural background of this amazing city before retiring to our amazing Rome apartments or hotels. Don’t forget that I love Italian food too so that’s another bonus!

Now a vacation like that, I believe is the best way to really bring both
B and I back to our jovial fun-loving selves. For now, we are both more than a little miserable. B, for having to stay longer than expected in the hospital and me for having to worry about his condition whilst juggling most things on my own as he recuperates. Smiley

Even if it’s not
Rome, a vacation in any other faraway city is what we are both dreaming of and after B is well on his way to full recuperation, I’m definitely going to start researching on the best vacation deals around. Until then, here’s to another day of missing my Darling and wishing him a speedy recovery! doa

Get well soon, Love!

Dreaming of New York!

Thanks to a friend who is currently living in NYC, I can now shop for all the things I want in the Big Apple via her. Isn’t that great? Here I come
Bath & Body Works and VS!Smiley

If I had things my way, I would of course love to personally shop in NY. Last I went to NY was years ago and I can still remember the shopping spree I enjoyed in fast-paced city of the Big Apple. With so many things to buy and see in
New York, I think it would take a week of vacationing here to truly satisfy my need for a city getaway of great dining, amazing sightseeing and simply fantastic shopping while luxuriating in gorgeous apartments in New York. Smiley

Truly sounds like the perfect vacation for yours truly but one that I know will also cost a bomb so you know what that means. I gotta work harder to fatten up my vacation fund! And I also gotta be more firm with my clients when it comes to payment.
takbole

Being the pushover that I am, I have been way too nice to my clients and I can’t help but feel that I am being taken for granted with them paying me LATE! I am really pissed off this week about my situation actually but I know this is the life of a freelancer. Constantly being pressured to meet ridiculous deadlines and then waiting forever to get paid and frankly, I have had it with this tardiness! Smiley

So I am on strike with certain clients at the moment. Yes, I am taking a stand and refusing to accept any more new jobs from clients who take their own sweet time to pay me for my services. I too have bills to pay and I too want to happily travel to New York and stay in gorgeous New York apartments using my hard-earned dough right?

Seriously, I’d much rather spend my skills, effort and time on clients who actually appreciate my services to pay me on time. And as hard as it’s going to be for me to decline and say a firm NO to these late paymasters, I will try my best to keep focus on my stand.

To my late-paying clients, I hope they will make good on their promises to pay up soon because thanks to this unnecessary stress of waiting around in vain, I am in dire need of a getaway and I want to go to
New York so pay up people! Smiley

Oh, I took this cool NY quiz to calm down and apparently I am the
Empire State Building, YAY!

You Are the Empire State Building

You are definitely a city person. You love crowds and excitement... the more the better.

You are flashy and showy. You like to flaunt what you've got.

You are confident and sure of yourself. You believe in yourself and know what you're capable of.

You make rules up as they go along. It's more fun that way.

Weekend Blues

When my Darling is down and depressed, I get upset too. It’s only natural to feel the pain and sorrow of your other half when you’ve been together for 10 years so today we are both a little blue. So blue that all we want to do is escape this madness of a hectic stressful world into one of oblivious relaxation and stress-free surrounding. rindu

Yes, it is time to get away and lose ourselves in an awesome vacation someplace far away where no one can find us and I’m thinking
Germany, since they made it to the EURO semi-final after defeating Greece yesterday! Smiley

I’ve never been to
Germany so how great would it be if we could just pack up our stuff, hop on a plane and check into some gorgeous apartments in Berlin, in the blink of an eye? Where are you Fairy Godmother? doa

I can’t get into details on why my Darling is at his lowest at the moment but suffice it to say, it’s work related. As one who freelances from home, I can truly appreciate his depression. I know for a fact that working in a big organization is never easy so thank my lucky stars that I am not subjected to work stress, politics, and the likes. And right now, all I can do for him is to be there by his side and lavish him with all the love and support I know he truly deserves and wait for him to bounce back to life. Smiley

That’s why I’m hoping a vacation will help speed things up. I don’t know where or when, but that much-needed getaway is what I hope will help rejuvenate my Darling and reignite his passion and zest for work and life. If we were to end up in some beautiful Berlin apartments on this back-to-life vacation for
B, that would be awesome. If we end up vacationing someplace closer to home like Singapore, that would be fine as well. At the very least, there is still the idea of a hotel getaway if we want to get away for just the weekend. Smiley

So we’ll see. For now, I am trying to come up with more pick-me-ups to bring
B out of his depression aside from planning a nice relaxing getaway for us and sending him off to eBay for a Star Wars shopping spree online. Any other thoughts? Smiley

Blogging Blues and Runescape Cursors

Blogging blues plaguing my life is something I can definitely do without right now!
tension

My "love hate" story with JS-Kit ECHO continues this week with me pulling my hair in frustration at my current plight, which started almost immediately after JS recently upgraded their ECHO Email Notification System. Despite setting my options correctly, it is almost a week now that I am unable to receive ALL my comments here or at my other blogs by email. Why I'm fussing over this is because I now am burdened with the unnecessary trouble of having to check my latest posts for new comments instead of having them delivered to me by email. Very tedious and annoying right?
ketukmeje

I realize stressing over this is futile. I've come to a point where many things blog-wise are just not going my way and this additional stressor is merely a tick that I refuse to let bring me down. When all else fails, you just gotta laugh and do other things to keep your mind off things! garupale

And that's how I ended up changing cursors for Pinky, for the first time ever. I don't usually bother with trivial things like changing cursors but since a kind soul so thoughtfully emailed me this
Runescape Cursors link, I decided to check it out. I liked what I saw so I thought I'd share it with you; perhaps a new cursor could give you the inspiration for a nice new post.

I'm currently using a magical green fairy as my cursor. Secretly, I am hoping the fairy will soon waves its magic wand and fix all my blog issues and JS problem so that's my little piece of inspiration.
ihikhik

With over 20 different cursor categories to choose from, I am sure you'd find one defining your current mood too.

All you have to do is download the file as instructed and you'll be able to view Cursor Mania in your Toolbar after restarting your browser. From there, you just have to click your chosen cursor and it will be ready for use! tepuktangan

So which one do you reckon would make it a little better for u today? I kinda like the glittering disco ball, maybe I'll change to funky disco mood next!
