Idola Kecil S3, Who Will Win? *

Merry Christmas to all my friends celebrating this special holiday! We don't celebrate Christmas but B and I will be enjoying our own Christmas cheer this weekend at my sister's birthday hi-tea. Tonight however, we'll be watching the LIVE finale of Idola Kecil 3, which I'm looking forward to. The concert will air at 8.30pm on TV9 by the way.

Finalists L-R: Harris, Hadi, Balqis, Puteri and Shazlin

Idola Kecil (Little Idol) is the #1 Kids reality TV program in Malaysia and Season 3 is the first one I'm following. Apparently this season is the best so my timing was perfect to start watching this year. I caught the recording of the very first concert, which opened with 1o students in the age range of 9-12 years.

In the studio

Top 10 during the first concert

Alif in centre crowd

As the host of Idola Kecil, Alif (One in a Million) does a great job of drawing in the crowd without having to scream out everything he says, which seems to be a trend among some of our older, supposedly more popular hosts. I hope Alif returns as host next year. tepuktangan

L-R: Deera, Amira and Hadi

I was rooting for Deera (photo above) to make it to the Top 5 but she has already been eliminated. Hadi on the other hand has made it to the final and he seems to be the crowd's favourite right from the start. It's totally understandable too for Hadi is the most adorable boy contestant with an extremely likeable personality and an equally charming voice. Smiley

Harris

Now this is who I'll be cheering for tonight - Harris! He is totally amazing and he has the whole package to make it big in our local music industry. Born to sing, Harris is a great performer and he sticks to his calling as our next big rock star! He looks the part, sings the part and he always captivates the audience from beginning to end. It will be a huge surprise and upset if Harris does not emerge tops this season! Smiley

L-R: Harris, Hadi, Balqis, Puteri and Shazlin

In the photo above, you can see Puteri and I think she is Harris' strongest contender. At the tender age of 12, she has already demonstrated her power and presence with a bigger impact than some of our popular singers today. And though her female counterparts Balqis and Shazlin are equally wonderful, Puteri is in a whole different league!
sembah

So who will win? Who will be crowned as Idola Kecil Season 3? Tune in to TV9 tonight at 8.30pm to watch the live concert of Idola Kecil and who knows you might even catch a glimpse of me somewhere in the crowd! ihikhik

Ticket to NKOTB!

What do you guys think of New Kids on the Block making a comeback at this time and age? I watched a recent NKOTB story on channel E and it was really weird seeing them back in their younger days although I admit I too had a crush on these adorable boys back then!
love

When NKOTB first broke into
the music scene in the late 80s, I made Donny Wahlberg my personal favourite. I was no fan of the boyish high-pitched voice of Joey McIntyre and Jordan Knight so they never made my hot list. Poor Danny was just mousey, which prevented him from being anything but plain. As for Jonathan, he always looked a little lost and way too shy to be a pop star. It was only later that I discovered he suffers from stage fright; which makes me wonder how he could have been part of NKOTB to begin with. Anyway, that leaves us with bad boy Donnie; the only NKOTB I deemed worthy enough to worship! malu

Now that NKOTB is back; looking and sounding much older and different from when they first emerged, would you consider seeing them in concert? If you're interested, why not drop by A Cheap Seat? As a professional ticket broker with access to numerous activities and events across the nation, A Cheap Seat offers the hottest premium ticket deals for a wide variety of events. From Sports Tickets and Electric Factory Tickets to Theater Tickets like the Jersey Boys Tickets, you will be able to enjoy great low prices for all your entertainment needs.

Britney Spears

string of concerts too; now right up to September. We all know how hot Britney is so getting hold of her tickets would be tough. Worry not however for now you can rely on A Cheap Seat to help secure your Britney Spears Tickets so you won't miss out on all the fun. cium

Despite all her paparazzi hounding and wild escapades, Britney always puts up a spectacular performance and her concerts are definitely worth seeing. So if you're a true blue Britney fan, make sure you're first in line to get hold of her tickets. Drop by A Cheap Set today to avoid disappointment. Have a great time at the concert and let me know how it turns out!

TV Time!

I can't remember the last time I indulged in my favourite TV soap, the Bold and the Beautiful. Yes, Mariuca is a big fan and I've been following this series since day one. It feels funny to not be in the loop with the latest B&B story and I know there's plenty to catch up on.

Work has kept me busy and blogging too. It's hard juggling work and blogging and all the other things related to maintaining an active constantly-updated site but I've been striving to do my best especially these last two months. And that means I've missed out on two whole months of watching the beautiful B&B cast clawing at each other or relentlessly swapping partners like an everyday affair!
ihikhik

I miss seeing my hunky Ridge Forrester (Ron Moss) in action. He's born to be a soap star, that's all I can say! Tall dark and handsome, Ridge can do no wrong in my eyes, no matter how corny or ridiculous his character evolves in the story!
ihikhik malu

And there's also my favourite female character Taylor (Hunter Tylo) who I think is simply beautiful. Truly she is my idol when it comes to beautiful celebrities. I adore Taylor and she too will always have my support on B&B. Perfect Taylor with every strand of hair always in place; she makes me cringe at such beauty and she only gets more beautiful with age! rindu

And this one here is Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and she is my least favourite in the story. In fact I can't stand her character! She gets me all riled up with her so-called innocent ways when we all know just how evil and annoying she really is! merajuktension

Ahhhhhhh I definitely miss watching B&B on TV and I seriously need to schedule some TV time for me soon. I need and I want to catch up on all that I've been missing in the rich and glamorous world of the Forresters. I may not have Direct TV but there are still many other shows on regular TV that I love watching and B&B is high on my list of must-watch shows.

And speaking of Direct TV,
I know some of you are keen on learning more about enjoying DirectTV in your home, so feel free to click on the link here. For only $34.99 a month, you will be able to enjoy over 150 DirecTV channels for your viewing enjoyment. Have a wonderful weekend everybody!

DVD Marathon!

I am inside my office sipping my afternoon coffee. I can hear the neighbourhood kids screaming and crying at the top of their voices outside. The playground is right below my balcony. I see it every time I walk towards our living-room. Construction work is also going on somewhere in the building and the loud drilling noises I've been subjected to since morning is not showing any sign of slowing down. And yet I am not bothered with any of these trivial irritants for I am finally and truly done with my 2 big projects!
gelakguling tepuktangan

I was overwhelmed with work this week. With two urgent deadlines to meet for two very fussy clients, Mariuca was on overdrive! But that's what I get for choosing the life of a freelancer. You never know when you'll be called in to work and there are times when nobody calls at all. So you need to take whatever opportunity that comes your way, for money sake.
duit

My already crazy sleeping cycle went haywire with me working through most nights and sleeping in even later than usual. I neglected my EC rounds and a lot of "chopping" this week. Work occupied my mind and time and I could not rest until I was down to the very last word. And now that everything has been finalized and emails sent to clients, I only have to worry about my invoices while anticipating a nice relaxing free-from-work weekend! Tonight, all I want to do is sit back with an icy cold black roast Nescafe and have a DVD marathon! menari

We bought a whole bunch of DVDs recently. No, not from an online wholesale dvd distributor but from our neighbourhood DVD store. There were lots of titles to choose from and as always, fickle me was undecided between t
wo of my all-time favourite sitcoms - Everybody Loves Raymond or Seinfeld. In the end I settled for Everybody Hates Chris, which I've yet to watch a single episode of by the way!

So far, we've only enjoyed Weeds, which I gotta say got me hooked since Season 1. Highly recommended for tho
se looking for a little naughty excitement in the fun albeit scary world of the forbidden, Weeds is not only intense but hilarious too! B and I couldn't stop watching season after season and the only reason we took a break from watching till the end was my piling work these past few weeks. penat

So that is what I'm planning to do tonight, catch up on some much-needed stress relief with a DVD marathon! Oh and I've also completed my 900 EC drops and my Adgi clicks
for the day, which means I can truly indulge in a guiltless lazy DVD night with B later! Enjoy your weekend as well and thanks for reading. babai
