Sometime back in April, B convinced me to attend one of his work events at the eleventh hour. I was a little busy with work that weekend and was planning to catch up on much-needed sleep but since it was an important Liverpool-related sport event for my Love, I said yes.
I stayed up all night to make sure I did not oversleep, frantically searched for my one and only Liverpool wear from my chaotic closet the next morning and sleepily accompanied B to Putra Stadium, Bukit Jalil to attend the EPL Football Malaysia Cup.

I was so sleepy in the car but strained to stay awake to ensure B wasn’t speeding away like a madman to get to our destination on time! All was good and after collecting our tickets, we made our way to the VIP Suite to await kick off.

In case you're wondering, the event was basically a football affair.
Several friendly matches were lined up between four prestigious teams namely our very own Malaysia Legends, Liverpool Legends, Manchester United Legends and EPL Legends

Meanwhile, Mel and I lounged around in the VIP suite; snapping photos of the surroundings, the cool football gift set on every table and of course the football superstars when they arrived for their interview with the press.

Light refreshments were served later, which though was nothing much to shout about, still came in handy when one is sleepless and hungry at 2pm!

There was no time to yawn as the crowd cheered for their respective teams and though I was clad in a Liverpool tee, the Malaysia Boleh spirit in me saw yours truly cheering for our home team with the rest of the stadium whenever Team Malaysia scored!

Hafiz Hatim of 8TV’s Showdown was the host for the day and he did a pretty good job of keeping the crowd going. There was also a contest to win a car if I’m not mistaken but we didn’t stick around to wait for it. Besides, I’m never lucky when it comes to lucky draws or contests so no regrets in not waiting till the end!

EPL Football Malaysia Cup was indeed a wonderful way to spend my Sunday sharing B and Mel’s football passion. Firstly, Liverpool Legends ended the weekend on a great note by winning!
