This year I'm having the most difficult time choosing the best American Idol performance for my American Idol Music Monday. I don't know if this is attributed to the fact that no one is as good as Adam Lambert or Danny Gokey last year or perhaps my standards have increased since then. All I know is that every week for my AI MM, I have to think really hard on who to feature for the week.
After much thought, I've selected this performance from Aaron Kelly as the best performance in my eyes, which is ironic because I DO NOT LIKE this Aerosmith song! I know it's a great song but when it was initially released, the song was so overplayed on our local stations here until I got sick of it. And until today I switch to another channel whenever this song comes on!
For me to choose this performance as my fave, speaks volumes about both song selection and talent this year.. sigh..but I hope all that will change next Music Monday for this week's theme is R&B Soul - my favourite genre so come on contestants, do not disappoint your hardcore fan here in Malaysia!
