Eating and Cooking Away!

Eat, eat and eat some more. That is all I seem to be doing lately. Smiley

I have also taken to cooking up several fatty dishes in my kitchen, all thanks to watching Masterchef US on TV. I love this show by the way. Every time I watch an episode, I get so hungry and I end up searching for recipes online to start cooking like a Masterchef contestant! Smiley

It does not help that I happen to love my own cooking so after slaving away in the kitchen, it’s time to have a plate (or two!) of my finished dish. Don’t forget that I hate exercising too so eat + no exercise = Fatty Me.
adus

The thing is, I know I should do something about this extra weight I’ve put on lately but I’m just not motivated to really start my diet right now. I’m still procrastinating and what I need is a good kick to get me back on my diet days!

Perhaps it’s time to look into some appetite suppressants and buy ionamin online. Apparently, ionamin can help boost my will power to start dieting, for real this time! Don’t worry though. I will definitely do my research to ensure everything is a-okay prior to buying any appetite suppressant. It’s just comforting to know that should I ever need that extra drive in the diet department, help is available! Smiley

Anyway, tonight I cooked some fatty yummy glazed meatloaf and sautéed mushroom for dinner. It was my first time cooking meatloaf and I’m pleased to say that my first attempt turned out pretty good. I will save the pictures for my food blog so drop by later. Until then, I will try my best to eat a salad tomorrow instead of something fatty!

My 2012 Resolution!

I just received a tweet asking me if I’m keen to know the most effective way on how to lose weight. Of course I’m interested! I always am when it comes to dieting and losing weight but having been tricked countless times by diet pills, teas and products that only help temporarily; I am no longer a believer!
merajuk

Frankly, the only way anyone can lose weight is simply by proper healthy eating habits and exercising. The latter is a little difficult for me. I’ve always hated exercising (
hence the forever BD mode) and I find it easier to control my food intake compared to sweating it out in the gym or even in my living room!

Yes there’s a gym right here in my condo building but I’ve yet to take a peek inside and the only form of exercise I get is housecleaning, which I don’t mind doing simply because I am forced to. Who else will clean the house if not yours truly right? Plus, the idea of sweating it out while vacuuming, ironing and mopping really makes me feel good about myself that at least, I do sweat it out naturally once in a while, which is better than not ‘working out’ at all I believe!
Smiley

So this 2012, my New Year's resolution will not be the unrealistic one that I have almost every year, which is to lose weight. It seems that every time I make that New Year's resolution, it always falls through due to my lack of willpower and my love for yummy fattening food. I have a sweet tooth and dinner is never totally complete until after I had some sort of dessert for the night!

Next year, I only have one major
New Year's resolution and this one I think I can pull it off. Being realistic and in acceptance of the whole never-gonna-happen skinny me issue, I am going to focus on the financial aspect of my life. So next year, I am working towards killing off my many credit cards, one by one! Smiley

This month marks the third month of me not using my credit cards and the feeling of relief and pride I have is overwhelming. I guess you can’t really understand this whole credit card insanity unless you’re credit card crazy like me. In a way, cutting off my credit cards is similar to me trying to lose weight. It takes a lot of willpower, determination and self-control to refrain myself from getting side-tracked and so far, I have been quite good. tepuktangan

I hope to see and feel some difference in my wallet after the sixth month, so wish me luck people. I am truly sick of being hounded by my credit card woes and if nothing else, I just want to be a little bit free from the choking worries of my credit cards bills.

So how about you guys? What are your New Year’s resolutions? Let’s keep it realistic shall we and name me just ONE of your many resolutions! Here’s to a fantastic 2012!

Diet Days!

DAY 1

Goodbye Garlic Prawns!
Smiley

Totally inspired to kick-start my Blockbuster Diet. Managed to stick to my diet menu for the entire day. Good job to me! tepuktangan

DAY 2
Goodbye
Big Brother!
Smiley

Woke up feeling a little lethargic. Must be the lack of fatty food in me, which is great. Must continue my diet, must look good for New Year! Smiley
DAY 3
Goodbye Cupcakes! Smiley

Oh boy! They say the third day is always the hardest and I see it's true. Hungry and miserable throughout the day. Kept myself busy with PC games and blogging. Smiley

DAY 4
Goodbye Prawn Dish from Black Canyon!
Smiley

Spent the entire day planning my diet menu for the next few weeks. Also did a little research on diet pills and weight loss supplements. Apparently you can Order Proactol online. Read the product reviews and found the site to be extremely useful with lots of information pertaining to the weight loss product and customer feedback. Usually need some form of assurance that the product works effectively and is safe for consumption prior to any purchase.

Proactol works by suppressing one’s cravings and binding around 28% of fat from food intake; keeping you light and in shape. Active ingredients include Indian fig or prickly pear and Niacin, Vitamin B1, B6, and Panthothenic acid. Recommended dosage is 3-4 tablets after each meal. Medical advice is required for people with kidney problems or breast-feeding moms.

DAY 5
Goodbye
delicious Iced Latte
! Smiley

Almost getting used to this somewhat light and airy feeling. Clothes seem to fit better and I don't look or feel as heavy as I did a week ago. Could it all be in my mind? Lack of food causing me to hallucinate? Smiley

DAY 6
Hello Skinny Jeans!
Smiley

Searched for my skinny jeans that once fit perfectly but now discarded to the back of my closet. They don't fit just yet but they will inspire me to continue my Blockbuster Diet!

DAY 7
Seven days without eating rice! The diet saga continues....looking forward to my weigh-in session at the end of the week. ihikhik

Feast First, Diet Later!

Have you tried Bubba Gump Shrimp & Co Restaurant @ The Curve? B and I have feasted there twice so far and each time we went, we were spoiled for choice with the restaurant's many delicious menu offerings.

Inspired by the famous movie Forrest Gump, this restaurant specializes in shrimp but it also offers a wide variety of seafood dishes; making it the ideal choice for seafood lovers like me! Before I start describing and serving you some delicious food from Bubba Gump Shrimp & Co, let me assuage your dieting fears and concerns by steering you to a new online weight loss site, which will help you feel and look better after all the eating and drooling you'll be doing here!

Okay, now that you have a place to turn to and cry your diet woes when you do finally go on that diet, let's enjoy a little scrumptious dinner here at Wishing on a Falling Star by sampling some yummy delights B and I savoured on our last Bubba Gump Shrimp & Co. visit.

Let's start with some Onion Rings served with Chipotle Ranch and BBQ Dippin' Sauces. For RM15.90 per serving, the onion rings were really crispy and tasty with real whole onion rings inside and not just batter, so that was YUM!
sengihnampakgigi

The first time we visited this restaurant, I ordered Lotsa Lava, which consists of creamy coconut and sweet pineapple with a hint of strawberry flavour. It's kind of like Pina Colada, which I love so our last visit saw me ordering the same drink, which was just as delightful as the first time I tasted it.
tepuktangan

After much thinking and changing my mind, I finally decided on the Bourbon Street Baramundi. It was perfect though I wish they'd add more of the delicious sauce to go with the heaping mound of mashed potatoes served with this dish.

B
had Bubba's Baked Seafood Rice, which was also tasty but I preferred my selection. Both portions were huge by the way so we ended up bringing home the left-overs. We did not have dessert for we were both too stuffed to eat anything else after our appetizer and main course. Nonetheless, this is one restaurant that will definitely see repeat performance from us!

Tucked away in a cosy little corner at The Curve, Bubba Gump Shrimp & Co is a wonderful restaurant that offers you not only a warm friendly ambiance but scrumptious shrimp and seafood dishes as well. Feel like giving it a try? And don't worry about your diet while you're there. Make sure you truly enjoy one last hearty meal before checking out to the diet online site I mentioned earlier. Once you've satisfied your taste buds for yummy seafood delights at Bubba Gump Shrimp & Co, then you can start your blockbuster diet...for real this time! Happy eating and good luck on that diet! siul

PS. I am giving away FC Scoreboard points to the first three commenters, go for it!
