If I had the time and the money, Italy would be my first choice for a getaway. Yes, beautiful glorious Italy where everything seems so exotic and foreign to me. Waking up in a strange city in our beautiful hotel or apartments in Florence would be simply magical! Being so far away from home with only B by my side; the two of us enjoying new things and sights together whilst escaping all the weariness weighing us down back home is what a vacation in Italy is all about so hopefully it will come true one day.
But time is of the essence and money is scarce nowadays so our last vacation saw us spending three glorious days in Singapore and that is where I’ll be taking you today.
Shopping in Singapore on our last anniversary getaway was great! It was our first time visiting The Shoppes @ Marina Bay Sands and we were definitely impressed. The shops were aplenty and eating outlets were abundant.

Visiting The Shoppes @ Marina Bay Sands would not be complete if you do not pop up to the Promenade area. One of the main attractions here is the whirlpool situated above the promenade level with water cascading down two storeys to the heart of The Shoppes into a canal where visitors can enjoy a scenic boat ride of The Shoppes in a traditional sampan.

The first time we visited the whirlpool, it was already dark by then so my first batch of photos did not turn out great.
Thankfully, we returned here the next day so I was able to snap some clear shots of the whirlpool plus a short video too.

I was not looking for anything to buy but since B was shopping up a storm in Adidas, which was on sale, I figured why not join his fun too? I left the store with plenty of goodies but was a little disappointed that the pair of shoes I really wanted did not have my size in stock. 
I want this pair!
What's the damage?
One of the things I love about visiting another country is shopping for things I know are not available back home, like this Low Fat Cafe 21 I found in a Cold Storage specialty store. We don’t have Low Fat Café 21 in Malaysia so it was sheer pleasure for me to bring home a pack! 
My favourite coffee
Laden with goodies and exhausted from our shopping and walking around, we ended our day with coffee and a little entertainment before heading back to Studio M Hotel late at night. See you in my next post and thanks for reading and viewing!
