My Raya photos are finally up! Yes, I took my own sweet time before posting them but there’s just plenty to do prior to the actual publishing of pictures and that includes cropping, resizing and adding water mark to each and every picture so imagine how tedious!
Aidilfitri morning for us started in Subang Jaya at MIL’s place. Usually, B and I will drop by her home first to have Raya breakfast with the rest of the family. We ate, seek forgiveness from each other, enjoyed the merriment that is Raya and took some pictures but we mostly ate! B was especially hungry that morning and the first thing he said to MIL when we arrived was “Hungry”!

Happy FamilyFor lunch, we headed to my parents' home in USJ. The house was beautifully decorated and cookies and cakes were in every corner! Ritz and Ross of course stole the limelight with their antics!

And more cookies!My parents had ordered some dishes but my Mom did the bulk of the cooking, bless her kind heart! I was still full from breakfast so B and I ended up entertaining guests and serving them lunch while waiting for hunger to kick in. This year, we had quite a lot of guests who dropped by throughout the afternoon. I missed the morning batch of guests but was kept busy greeting guests and setting the table before each party arrived.

I doubt I’d ever hold a big open house like my parents simply because my home is tiny compared to their humongous home and I don’t think I can cook for so many people at one go. And what happens if my food doesn’t turn out?

Forgive and ForgetAll in all, it was a busy Raya for us this year and a delightfully yummy one too. There was so much food and we ate Raya goodies for the next two days! Thanks to those who sent us well wishes on FB. Selamat Hari Raya and Maaf Zahir Batin!

What a wonderful Hari Raya atmosphere. My mom and sisters had a blast cooking during malam takbir.. us helping, mom cooking.. coz i can't cook Raya dishes to save my life. LOL! :) Allie and Buddy had a blast.. although they were bummed we didn't go back to my dad's kampung for raya so we din get to meet cousins and other relatives this year. We just stayed in KK.
But still, Raya was definitely fun and full of yummy goodness!! :) And my waist is inches thicker! LOL! :) Glad that you shared your Raya celebrations with us.. I'm just waiting for my sister to upload the Raya pics and hopefully will be able to share them with you all! ;)
I pun dunno lah how to handle open house.. my mom did it twice. First day of raya and on the 4th day of raya.. but the fourth day tu, was just so she can cook her famous Sarawak Laksa for her friends..
KAlau ada big house takpelah kan? hahahaha maybe next year kalau u dah beli rumah boleh buat open house and i will sebokkan diri to come! LMAO! :)
