Last Saturday, my sister Ann and brother-in-law Ross, threw an awesome Madagascar theme birthday bash for my twin nephews, Ross and Ritz. Sis has been busy planning this day with her party planner so I was excited to see what was in store.
Before I forget, I've already posted the food pictures at Makan-Makan @ Mariuca; feel free to view them there. The party was held in Royale Bintang @D'sara by the way and started at 11am, which meant no sleep for me the previous night for fear of being fashionably late!
A number of fun activities were on the agenda and when I arrived, most of the kids were busy colouring at the kids play area. Too bad baby Issy is still in UK. Otherwise she would have enjoyed this party very much!
The first picture I snapped was of the Kids Dining table, which I thought was beautifully decorated! It was good to be a kid on that day for it was a kiddy party after all and all the focus was on them.
I spotted the gorgeous birthday cake table almost immediately and quickly got my youngest sis Mel to snap a picture of me and the huge birthday cake!
The VIP Table was beautifully decorated too so more snapping of pictures upon arrival.
It was time to find the twins for a birthday hug but it was near impossible to get them to stand still for a shot. I'm pleased this picture turned out pretty clear!
My sis had obviously put in a lot of thought and preparation into making this birthday party memorable and I was impressed with the number of activities going on that afternoon. Mel and I got ourselves a tattoo while waiting for the other guests to arrive.
I was especially looking forward to the Candy Buffet; all sorts of yummy sweet candies for both adults and kids to sample and bring home too!
Hats off to the party planner as well for keeping the kids well entertained. There were plenty of games lined up that afternoon and while the little ones played, the adults enjoyed the scrumptious food and chit-chat!
When it was time for lunch, moms and nannies were kept busy attending to their babies. I love how the kids have their own special-packed lunch boxes and their menu looked just as yummy as ours.
By the way, B could not attend this party as he had a family emergency last Saturday. So he was in Melaka for the day while I was flying solo. Ann had invited some of her old school friends to the party so it was good to meet up with fellow Assuntarians after a long time!
Before the cake-cutting ceremony, the kids enjoyed a little fun with the adorable lion Piñata. Actually, I too was looking forward to this segment of the party!
Finally it was time to cut the cake and the twins were already tired and sleepy from the fun they've been enjoying since morning.
It was almost 4pm when the party ended and I too was totally exhausted by then. I love the door-gift Ann had prepared for this event and happily brought home two! One for me.. one for B!
Thanks to Ann & Ross for a wonderful afternoon with the twins and Happy Birthday Ross & Ritz! Much love and God Bless from Aunty M & Uncle B!
