Yesterday was the most I've eaten ever since my BD has been put on temporary hold! It was Eid Al-Adha, which is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims around the world, yours truly included. We drove over to my parents' place for a little feast. I was the only one not donning the traditional baju kurung!
There was plenty of food and I came prepared with my trusty tiffin carrier to bring home some of the food for us to eat at home later. This year, my parents ordered the food from their favourite caterer. It's quite a hassle for my mom to cook so many things on her own so my sisters and I didn't encourage her to do so.
I love coming over to my parents' place for any festive meal simply because everything is already prepared and look oh so inviting. The table is always nicely set; food served in pretty dinnerware. Plus, the house is spic and span and nicely decorated too; the complete opposite of what my place looks like!
The Adorable Two were there of course, running around all over the place clad in matching Red outfits!
Ritz as always was the friendlier of the twins and was more than happy to pose for pictures with Aunty M! We snuggled in the huge clean carpeted living-room and I put him to sleep for the first time, YAY!
My youngest sister Mel monopolized B's attention, which is what usually happens when these two get together. Her birthday is coming up next week and we're still thinking of the best birthday gift for her 21st birthday.
It's not easy getting Ross to be friendly with me but I managed to grab him in a bear hug (with him sitting still and not squirming out of my arms) and took one last picture before heading home. Thanks for the wonderful food and delightful company everybody!
So how was your Raya holiday? Did you eat as much as I did?
