Yesterday, I had a rude shock when I switched on the TV to find our subscription TV service ASTRO not working! I immediately blamed it on the rain because that usually happens when it trains. ASTRO cable viewers at home will not be able to receive reception and we'd get a 'services unavailable' message on the screen. But even after the rain stopped, there was no sign of ASTRO coming back so after a frantic call to ASTRO, it was confirmed that I forgot to pay our last bill!
It all came back to me then and I remembered what transpired at the beginning of last month when we received our bill. There had been another recent increase to B's sports package and now our monthly charge is RM116.95 from RM104.95. I know he can't live without his sports package but perhaps we can consider removing the movie package from our current deal. After all we hardly watch the outdated and repetitive movies shown on ASTRO. And I'm tired of paying such a high amount for something I don't even use!
I do wish we have other options besides ASTRO here and if we were living in the US, I'd surely consider one of the many cable tv deals available. Cable TV promises a whole new world of entertainment and amusement for my TV addiction. No more old movies that nobody watches, or service interruptions whenever it rains; just total satisfaction with my selection of basic analog stations, high definition channels plus premium movie channels too!
