It's Over! *

The previous night I went to bed feeling more than a little miffed with a certain blog advertising program, which I can say with certainty now, is a big fat liar! :(

Yes, some of you might already be aware of this little war I am battling against this so-called paid post program, which I joined way back in June last year. I even wrote my first post for them at Mariuca's Perfume Gallery, which was approved immediately. The thing is, I totally forgot about this job until some of my friends started joining the same program; thanks to my post, which sent them there. So I checked my status after 3 months of having the post approved and to my surprise, I was still not paid!

Okay, perhaps they're a little slow in payment, so I didn't bother much with the program, until 2 months later when I checked my status again and saw that my post, though approved was still unpaid! Naturally, I got a little pissed off since those friends who joined after me, already got paid for their first post! So I immediately wrote an email to the program, and waited for them to respond. Weeks passed by and there was still no response from them, which of course got me even more flustered. At the same time, I was still receiving new jobs from this program, which I was very reluctant to accept for fear of being unpaid again. Instead, I wrote them a second email and waited for response. Bear in mind all this emailing was done last year.

Sometime in December, when I was going through my work accounts and tying up loose ends for all my paid post programs online, I checked in with this program again and was horrified to see that there was still no response and though my post status was active it remains unpaid! The amount due is a mere 10 bucks, so yes it is so not about the money! It is now a matter of principle; when you tell your members/clients/anybody that you will pay, you have to keep your word! And don't forget, by then it was more than 6 months since I did that stupid job! Nonetheless, my third email went out to them in hopes of getting some form of response.

Two nights back and into the third month of 2009, I logged into my account again. The moment I saw the same active but unpaid status of my post, I was furious! And this time, instead of writing a firm but polite email, I wrote them (for the 4th time) a very angry email! I'm sure you don't blame me for losing my temper right? I mean, how many emails will it take for them to acknowledge little old me here? If you don't want to pay me for a job I've already done - FINE! But please, have the decency to let me know! Do not keep me hanging this way; not knowing what my status is and STOP insulting my intelligence by continuing to mail me jobs when in fact, your company does not have what it takes to become a good paid post program! :(

Yeah, I was oh so furious that night when I wrote my angry mail. It's been two days since and I just checked my account. As expected, there was no update, nothing; no indication of my email being received. There is no response, no apologies and most importantly; the status of my post still remains active yet unpaid!

Now, I ask you...how would you feel if you were cheated this way? How angry would you be if you did a job for a client, regardless of how much you get paid for; and yet your effort end up wasted? The worst part is that you are not even given due recognition or appreciation for completing the job in the first place! Is it too much for them to send me an email explaining what happened?

I don't ask for much, really I don't! But when u disrespect me, and my effort and time this way; there is no way I will let it go without a fight or at least bitching about it at my blog! It's the only way I can vent my frustration and it serves you right too for playing tricks on me! Shame on you and even if you send me another job at triple the amount you owe me currently, there is now way I'd say yes. Once beaten twice shy and I'm sorry to say this, but YOU have just lost out on one very diligent, very creative and very hardworking blogger to help promote your site. Starting today, I officially call it quits with this program! Don't you dare approach me with a new job; it's truly over I tell you! :(
