Games Galore!

Besides B and work, there are two things that can possibly keep me away from the Internet - when my PC or my ISP lets me down OR when I'm hooked on a new PC game! And right now, I'm hooked on several new games. Work has been quite slow for me these past few weeks and there are no major projects that I'm currently working on. So I'm taking this time to catch up on some new PC games.

One of my favorite game genres is time management and my latest craze is Monster Mash. In this game, the villagers of Curly Valley are under attack from some very quirky and bizarre monsters. Your mission is to prevent these mysterious invaders by fortifying Curly Village with various towers, upgrades and defensive armors. There are more than 25 increasingly powerful tower upgrades and 9 unique storybook-inspired scenes. Protect the villagers from the monsters and you'll save Curly Village! I really enjoyed this game and it was pretty challenging too. The last scenario especially was the most difficult. I stayed up the whole night trying to win this level and only managed to complete the whole game after a week! I can't wait for Monster Mash 2 to come out! :)

Another game that I'm currently into is The Sims Carnival SnapCity. Brought to you
by the creators of The Sims, this unique city-building simulation game comes with a puzzle twist. By dropping the falling, color-coded blocks into place, you can build industrial, commercial, and residential neighborhoods to assemble the best possible city. I prefer to build my dream city in Creativity mode. Otherwise, you can try to win goals by rebuilding and improving your city in Story Mode`s 25 unique neighborhoods. And watch out for the natural disasters, catastrophes, and even alien attacks that invade your city when you least expect them! I much prefer this game than SimCity Societies as it has more Sim City features. Nowhere near as challenging as Sim City itself, The Sims Carnival SnapCity does however make a great light & easy version of the original.

So now that the weekend is here, and I don't have any outstanding jobs to worry about, I'll be free to indulge in a whole weekend of fun and games with all the new PC games I've been missing out on. I'm also excited to see what The Sims Castaway Stories is all about. Based on reviews, it sounds and looks promising.

Hi Marzie Warzie! Do you play on line or just solo? I am working so much I barely have time to blog at all...that's why I haven't had you beat me at poker yet...haha:)

Farah Deen March 07, 2008 10:47 AM

wow GP, you are really into these PC games. I haven't started playing any (not that I dont like, but I really have no time with these 2 kids), my hubby used to like games, and I remember time bujang dulu he used to play PS too, LOL.

i think the last game I really played was PC MAN! hahahaha (hey, dont laugh at me ok) love the music and the cute yellow smiley face! hahahahahah

enjoy your weekend my dear....and send my distant love to the kitties! (dari jauh je ok, kalau dekat, melompat I nanti)

Nick Phillips (15/03/1967 - 04/11/2022) March 07, 2008 2:05 PM

Ok, let's just say you got me intrigued on the Sim Carnival Snapcuty Game and I'm actually downloading it now. I'm a fan of the Sim City so this should be a blast :D

I'm a computer game freak too, just don't have the time to play it all that much these days.

Mariuca March 07, 2008 3:07 PM

Oh I play solo Bobby, never online, too much distraction there lol...I haven't been playing much Poker on FB, am into another game now he he he! :)

Mariuca March 07, 2008 3:10 PM

Hey Farah, unfortunately I am addicted to these PC games lol... Am not so into PS2, I got that for hubby as a b'day pressie, and I play that once in a blue moon. Oh I was never really good at Pac Man though! ;)

The kitties send their love, they understand your fear and won't come near he he.. :)

Mariuca March 07, 2008 3:13 PM

Yay Nick!! You should check it out, but of course Sim City is way better. This is the closest thing to a new SC version for me. At least got new buildings to enjoy! Oh I tried to DL this game, but it didn't work. So ended up buying one of those "cheap" dvds lolz! :)

Nick Phillips (15/03/1967 - 04/11/2022) March 07, 2008 4:34 PM

oh, I just managed to download it but don't know if it will work or not, will try it out later tonight. If it doesn't work, then cheap DVD it is! LOL!

Mariuca March 07, 2008 5:01 PM

He he.. is it the rar file Nick? It requires a password, which I somehow managed to find, but the thing still wouldn't work. I tried for weeks, finally got the DVD last weekend! ;)

I have finished Sims Castaways on my PSP. I got stuck for quite some time failing to progress. Only after my hubs checked on the internet for some walkthroughs did I manage I know that I must actually sleep overnight and had a full stomach before I could proceed to the next island! It was one fun game nonetheless!!

Farah Deen March 08, 2008 12:11 PM

GP, heheheh how understand are they- i mean the catties! so cute. i have told this to LJ, let me tell you too...last time when I was a small girl kan, i used to kick cats...shhhhhh dont hate me now! LOL tu masa kecik2, not now! now, i dont kick them, but I run away je!

Mariuca March 08, 2008 12:30 PM

Oh I do Raghav!! Poor you got no time to play, must take some time for a little bit of R&R, all work and no play makes Raghav a dull boy yes? For that, I suggest you spend some time playing games or doing something that you like this weekend, have fun! :)

Mariuca March 08, 2008 12:34 PM

Hi Karen, great to see u here today, how's the moving coming along? All settled oredi?

Thanks for the tip dear, I'll definitely be looking out for some cheats as well for this Castaway game. :)

Mariuca March 08, 2008 12:37 PM

LOL Farah!!! I remember seeing that comment at LJ's blog and I remember "scolding" u for the cat kicking then he he.... takpe Farah, that was then, now you just stay away rather than kicking lol!! Anyway, if u see my kitties for sure u tak sampai hati to kick them esp when they look up at u innocently with their big eyes! :)

LadyJava March 08, 2008 3:48 PM
