Last night, B whisked me off to La Bodega, Bangsar for my second birthday dinner with him. Little did I know he had invited two of my very good friends Zeff and Domino to attend this cosy occasion and surprise me with their presence!

Zeff is one of B’s best friends and he and I go a long way back. It was also him who inadvertently got B and me back together when he invited me out for drinks when B first returned home from UK many years ago. You can read more about our love story if you like. I wasn't expecting anyone else besides the two of us that night so it was a pleasant surprise seeing Zeff hiding his face behind the menu when we arrived at La Bodega!

My best friend Domino arrived much later. We first met when working in NST and we immediately clicked! We've shared so many things together and she is truly one of the most beautiful, generous and caring friends I have. Her unexpected appearance on my surprise birthday dinner definitely completed my night out. Besides B by my side, I was in the company of two of my favourite people so it was all good!

La Bodega was the perfect choice; I love Spanish food and having tapas while sipping mocktails is what I am all about! The tapas we ordered were delicious but we all agreed that Zeff's choice, the Pollo Al Ajillo Picante was the yummiest and I am definitely coming back for more!

My third drink of the night was a Lovey Dovey! I chose this mocktail simply because it sounded closest to a Pina Colada. It was certainly delightful but there was no way I could down the entire glass after already having 2 other drinks! 
I would really like to thank my Darling B for arranging this small intimate surprise birthday dinner for me. It was magical to be in the company of wonderful friends, great food and pure relaxation as we chatted, ate and drank the night away. Love you guys and hope to meet up again soon!

I like lah La Bodega @ Bangsar.. I prefer it to the one at Empire. That's why I suggested it as our meet up place for the gathering, remember? but apparently ramai ppl don't know the place! :) I love the ambiance and the tapas! ;) Last time Debbie's C was working there, maybe can get discount.. Now no more edi.
