With a sudden surge of new jobs that came in early this week, I am left with hardly any time to bloghop, drop EC, update my blogs, play games on my iPhone 4 and all the other fun things I like to do in my free time. In fact, I have not even opened the secret surprise gift B got me two days ago; that's how busy I have been this week!
The week is drawing to an end but I still have quite a few things on my plate. What I really want to do right now however is forget about work and take off for a weekend getaway! I'm not talking about some place too expensive or too far away. What I have in mind is a simple hotel getaway, which I do enjoy and always look forward to.
It's been ages since we checked in to a classy hotel somewhere in KL to indulge in the luxurious hotel room and ambiance, delightful room service and of course a little quality time away from home, work and our cats. It's good to rekindle your relationship by getting away for a while don't you think? Our anniversary is coming up at the end of this month so that's a great reason to make this hotel stay come true!
A local getaway also makes more sense right now instead of a full-fledged abroad vacation like my last Europe holiday. And it is also easier to arrange. If you however are planning an extensive vacation to somewhere far away like Italy or Spain, feel free to check out these gorgeous apartments in Venice and apartments in Barcelona I discovered online.
Visiting beautiful Barcelona or Venice and staying in luxurious Barcelona or Venice apartments would be a dream come true. It seems a little far-fetched right now but one can dream and if B and I managed to travel halfway across the globe on our last European Escapade, Spain or Italy is also a possibility!
Anyway, there are many things and places to explore and discover in Barcelona but I know the most interesting for B would be visiting Camp Nou, the football stadium in Barcelona which is home to FC Barcelona, currently the best football club in Europe, if not the world! You know how much my Darling loves his football!
Oh speaking of football, guess who got her picture taken with David May while on vacation last year? I may not be familiar with everything football but it was still awesome to have this photo taken with this ultra friendly former Manchester United player!

Hey GP!! wowww.. having vacation fever?? if you can have fever, then i have vacation dengue or something! dah lama gils tak gi mana2.. my mom is also planning to go to spain.. so she can crossover and from there go to Morocco.. one of her dream destinations. dunno when she's going.. she just asked me to help with research.. but possibly after her birthday in April she says. wow, Barcelona sounds like an amazing place to visit. it's one of my lists of destinations to go.
I was also so horrified to hear about the traumatic earthquake and tsunami in Japan. yeah, It looks so devastating. if you've friends or relatives staying there, hope they're safe and sound.

Every year there must be at least 1 local weekend holiday, 1 5D/4N trip to an SEA country and 1 10D/9N trip to outside SEA. I think this is the minimum requirement, haha!!
I small vacation getaway sounds like a GREAT idea :) I would like to plan one for myself and hubby soon.
