Lately everywhere I turn; I am saddened by the heart-wrenching pictures and stories on the terrible tsunami that slammed the east coast of Japan last week. Having been to Japan more than thrice, I am of course devastated that a disaster of such extreme magnitude happened to one of the most advanced nations in the world.
The first time I visited Japan, I was only 8 years old. We stopped by Tokyo on our way to our final destination of Los Angeles and the only thing I can remember was the difficulty in finding halal food. But that was years ago and I was only a kid.
More recently however were my last two visits to Tokyo with B. Our first Tokyo vacation as a couple was truly memorable. Everything seemed exciting and new and we soaked up the very best of Tokyo with an open heart and mind. We wanted to try everything and though I sprained my ankle on the very first day of our arrival, I still managed to walk/hop around the entire trip. We enjoyed the cold weather, delightful cuisine, shopping, sightseeing and of course the much-appreciated efficiency that Japan is known for.
So Japan and Tokyo specifically, hold many beautiful memories for yours truly. Tokyo is definitely one of my favourite cities in the world and if given the chance, I'd love to return one day. The next time you are planning a vacation to some place exotic, exciting and FUN don't just limit yourself to researching for apartments in Valencia or web-recommended Valencia apartments. Make sure you give Tokyo a peek as well!
With that, I would like to end my post with some very beautiful and memorable pictures of our Japan vacations. I am hoping this will help remind us of amazing Japan. We may not be able to erase the terrible images of what's currently transpiring in Japan but here's looking back at the better moments we shared on our vacations in beautiful Tokyo!

Our trip was so rejuvenating that for a week after we returned home, I still felt like I was in Tokyo! I remember waking up early every morning after my vacation; raring to start work. I was all gung-ho about expanding my home business to what it is today. And for an entire week, I felt really productive; keen to try new things and overcome whatever challenges headed my way!
The most important thing that happened after this Tokyo trip however was the birth of my blog; this one right here! Totally inspired and refreshed after our very enjoyable vacation, all I wanted to do was share this newly-found sense of joy and enthusiasm with my friends and family. And that's how Wishing on a Falling Star came about and I started to blog! So Japan and Tokyo specifically, hold many beautiful memories for yours truly. Dear Mariuca,
Thanks for sharing your photos from Japan and your thoughts about the Japanese and this terrible desaster. I agree with you: Japan is indeed a leading nation of the world.
All the way away here in Sweden we are seeing pictures from Japan. I find the threat of that radio-active cloud especially frightening. It is a little like déjà vu of the accident of the Tjernobl reactor. That cloud reached parts of Sweden!
Let's all hope that the Japanese people get through this. This is not the first time they have met with tragedy.
Best wishes,
Anna
such a small country have so beautiful scene http://www.replicawatchesgeek.com/watches/replica-fucda-1776.html
wonderful memories and a great tribute.
There is so much devastation in Japan that it's hard to know where they will start to fix things.
Knowing life can change in an instant, we should live life to the fullest and must appreciate life for what it is in every moment.
i'll continue to pray the best for Japan.
