Welcome back to another edition of my European Escapade! We are now on Day 5 and last I left you, B and I arrived back at our hotel exhausted from our day out in Trafalgar Square. My feet were killing me so before we retired for the night, I told B to go ahead with tomorrow's plans without me.

Next morning, the agenda was a tour of Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal heroes. I did not mind missing this part of the trip so I stayed behind to catch up on my sleep and rest my weary feet. All these pictures you see here are courtesy of B, thanks love!

As one of the incentives won by the Soccer Kids S2 winners, a tour of Emirates Stadium had been arranged on this trip. By the way, Soccer Kids is a popular kids' reality program, which aims to search for young football talents in Malaysia. Season 3 will air in mid-Jan on TV3, every Sunday at 7.30pm so don't forget to catch this show!
Stadium tours for other popular Premier League teams including Liverpool, Chelsea, West Ham and Manchester United were scheduled as well. So that's an overload of football frenzy, which apart from the MU-Liverpool match we'd be watching live, was the main purpose behind this UK trip.

Stadium tours for other popular Premier League teams including Liverpool, Chelsea, West Ham and Manchester United were scheduled as well. So that's an overload of football frenzy, which apart from the MU-Liverpool match we'd be watching live, was the main purpose behind this UK trip.
Majestic in size, Emirates Stadium has a seating capacity of 60,355. It is also the second largest football club stadium in England and a must-visit for any Arsenal fan. When writing this post, I am reminded of my three blog friends Nick, Sandman and Denaihati. Hardcore Arsenal fans like them simply must visit the home of their Arsenal heroes one day.

The tour of Emirates Stadium took about 45 minutes and guests were taken on a historical overview of Arsenal; starting with a briefing in the stadium. During the tour, B and his crew got the opportunity to see all the areas which are crucial to the team on a matchday including a walk down the players' tunnel to a seat in the first team dressing room as well as a visit to the Directors Box and the Press Conference facilities.

Apparently this tactical board has never been used by Arsene Wenger; tactics and strategies are discussed at the training ground prior to match day. Zany who is the fiercest most loyal MU fan I personally know used it to give my readers a little lesson on the importance of visiting www.mymariuca.com for your daily dose of cheer instead!

It was an amazing day for the boys especially since they are all hardcore football fans. If I had tagged along, I doubt I'd enjoy this tour as much as they did!

Towards the end of the tour, the boys were led to the Arsenal Time Capsule, which is the first thing players see when they walk into the entrance of Emirates Stadium. The capsule was placed on 28th October 2004 during the construction of the stadium.
Inside lie all sorts of memories and keepsakes from Arsenal stadium including the captain's armband worn by Tony Adams, an English Football Manager and former Arsenal player considered one of the club's greatest players of all time.

When B first showed me the pictures he had taken of Emirates Stadium, I felt a little left out but honestly, I really needed to catch up on my sleep and rest that morning. And my feet did feel so much better after resting at the hotel while the boys were on their tour so it was all good. By the time B came back to our hotel in Novotel, I was all set to explore Covent Garden, which is where my next European Escapade post will take you. Wait for it!
