Angry Beaver! ***

What I detest most is when someone simply accuses me without valid truth to the matter. And to have a so-called blogger "friend" hounding my blogging days and nights with unjust derogatory accusations is simply too much so I am drawing the line today.

My silence all these years does not translate into forgiveness nor does it mean acceptance. It is now the right time for me to speak. I do not have the slightest inkling on what will transpire following this post nor do I care. Tonight, I am simply writing to clear my good name as a friend, blogger, FCC founder, EC dropper, and most importantly me as a person.

Three years ago, something happened in my blogging life that brought tears to my eyes. It was the first time I ever cried for anything blog-related and my tears were mostly from hurt. And betrayal.

I felt used; completely baffled as to why a complete stranger would befriend me one day and betray our friendship the next by trashing my blog at his site. Was it called for? I think not for we were "friends" then. Was it constructive criticism? There was nothing constructive about his post. Was it done out of sheer jealousy at my so-called popularity? I leave that for you to decide.

This blogger took it upon himself to act and behave like a blog police. He started saying hello; asking for tips on how to get more people to visit his blog. And like a gullible fool, I simply shared my experience with him. I was a newbie then and all I did was joined a few blog communities and participated in several cool memes. I also did a lot of blog hopping too, which helped gain me a little attention.

He continued to monitor my every blog move and then one day when I least expected it, he launched an attack on poor unsuspecting me, his so-called friend. He used our friendship to falsely accuse me of things, which he deemed just. Without fully comprehending the full extent of my story or blogging history, he basically implied that my blog sucked and was not updated regularly. He continued to say that I have no merits as a blogger and I do not deserve to be in the blog world; suggesting I pack my bags and move to MySpace.

If that was not enough, he provoked me even more by saying that Wishing on a Falling Star is not a real blog according to Alexa and even displayed my blog statistics for the whole world to see...without my permission. At that time, I was new to the blogosphere and frankly, I wasn't even aware of Alexa and its underlying significance for my blog. All I wanted to do was blog. I was not disturbing anyone in the process; happily minding my own business and yet he went out of his way to stealthily dig up MY STATS and published them at HIS site. And all this coming from a "friend"?

When news first broke out of this incident, I was stunned into silence. I refused to believe one who appeared wonderful initially decided to tarnish my blog with just one post. I cried myself silly that weekend and vowed never to be used this way again. I was determined to stop blogging for I was devastated. My heart was broken and I even went as far as doubting my role as a friend!

Eventually, I got angry. I told myself that he is dead to me and NEVER will I grace his blog again. And since that tearful day, I have NEVER visited his site, I have NEVER replied any of his comments here and lately when he started appearing on EC, I REFUSE to drop at his site. I have my reasons and I dare any one of you to say I'm wrong. It was not me who initiated this whole mess and yet he is twisting things to make it look like I am the bully and he's the victim? Come on!

He claims that I reward linky love and awards to just my friends. SO WHAT? My friends, OLD and NEW are the ones who make this blog what it is today. Thank you to LadyJava, Monica, Lil', Ane, Rizal, HaaziQ, Emila, Anny, Tina, Speedcat, Elai, Lainy, Shemah, Roxy, Jean, LR, Nick, Nessa, Liza, Debbs, Bill, Tekkaus, Foong, ECL, Ayie, David, GG, Mize and so many more who show me love and support throughout my blogging journey. Some of them visit me often, others occasionally. Either way, we are friends and we keep in touch with what goes on in our respective lives via our blogs and other social networks. That's what TRUE FRIENDSHIP is all about, a concept unfamiliar to him apparently.

He claims that I did not give him EC linky love for dropping 31 drops on my perfume blog. SO WHAT? The moment he wrote that nasty post about me three years ago, our friendship ended right there and then! Does he not get that? He is invisible to me so even if he drops EC at MPG till he drops dead, NEVER will I return his drops or give him any linky love. He is not a friend and I don't welcome backstabbers at any of my blogs. Deal with it!

He claims that my contests are dishonest. Let me declare this - From now on, ANY contests held here or at Meow Diaries or at MPG will NOT be OPEN TO HIM. It is a special clause just for him and nobody else in this world. So get that, it is only HIM that I'm avoiding like the plague and NO ONE ELSE. How dare he discourage others from joining my contests just because he is not included in my circle of friends? And that too was brought upon by him and not me!

He claims I have an exclusive Blog Clique. SO WHAT? It's not like I started this so-called clique. Is it my fault that people find my blog interesting and they flock to me and my posts? New and old; all visitors are welcomed here with the exception of HIM. Do not take it out on my other readers if he feels not welcomed here; I am simply playing his game after all!

He claims that I only reply comments from my close friends. Well, if you're a true Mariucan and know me well enough, you would have noticed that I even reply to spam comments sometimes; that is how much I value my commenters. Does he honestly expect me to reply to his comments after the damage he caused? To visit me and PRETEND like nothing is wrong makes him a hypocrite and unlike him ... I am not one! I choose NOT to reply to his comments and only his.

I started the FCC to show appreciation for my first commenters and I can't help it if my winners are usually from the same crowd. They are my loyal Mariucans. They choose to follow me on Twitter, they understand my crazy night owl hours, they take the time to "CHOP" as FC here at all my posts and they choose to get into the spirit of things! Feeling a little left out are we? If that is not pathetic, pray tell what is!

Plus, even if I do not feature him as my First Commenter (which has NEVER been the case btw); I have valid reasons; which stemmed from three years ago and not just recently. Perhaps he thinks otherwise but no, time has not lessened my ill-will towards him.

Despite me treating him as the invisible blogger that he truly is, he continues to have his say; consistently bugging and trashing my blogs whenever he feels like it. And for him to have the audacity to claim sympathy and cry foul is simply laughable!

If nothing else, understand this at least. Ever since he took it upon himself to end our friendship by disrespecting our trust and unnecessarily trashing me and my beloved blog, it is over. As they say, once beaten twice shy. He is no longer my friend so for me to forgive and forget? NEVER!
