EC and Me *

Some of you might wonder why I receive and welcome the many different types of comment love on my posts, especially those regarding Entrecard and my daily routine of dropping 300 cards each (600 in total!) for both Mariuca and MPG. Here are some examples.

EC is very very slow today so I am dropping and running!! - Jackie

Yeah, EC kinda slow lately. Even the page is fully loaded, the EC blog still not yet fully visible. - HaaziQ

Hi Marzie! I've just changed my EC both url & avatar so am dropping AGP here for today! Enjoy yr evening! I know I'll be busy later! - Jean

Dropping my 1st EC..today power failure for 8 hours. - Bono

What could be perceived as empty talk to others, is very much the opposite for Mariuca, the Master Dropper. By the way, this title means that I drop 300 cards almost daily, give and take a few days where I miss this quota due to unavoidable circumstances like extremely slow connection on my end, a hectic day at work or I am away for a vacation.

For Mariuca, all these EC related comments come in very handy for me to gauge the actual EC situation on that given day. When EC acts up sometimes and takes ages to display the full EC widget for me to drop my card on, I find much comfort when other members drop by with their comment love for m
e, affirming the hunch that I am not the only one caught in terrible EC traffic that day. When you take the time to let me know that my blog is your first EC drop for the day, I glow in joy knowing that you're thinking of me. Leaving me a comment to let me know you've changed to a new EC avatar also makes me smile as I imagine how your new card looks like. So you see, this is why I welcome all the comment love I receive on my posts, especially the EC related ones. Something so simple and short can in reality translate into a meaningful comment to me personally. Thank you very much to everyone who takes the time to leave your comments for me. All your comments are much appreciated by both Mariuca and MPG and I hope you will continue to leave me your thoughts, big or small, here! :)

I can assure you that dropping EC daily is no piece of cake. I am not using the EC Toolbar seeing that it is still missing some of the features I require to ensure a smooth EC drop round every day. So I go back to the traditional method of clicking each dropper in my EC Inbox individually. This takes time but with a speedy connection, it is bearable. In the event that it is one of those days where everything seems to move in slow motion, it can be really frustrating to wait endlessly for the EC widget to appear. What's worse is when the EC widget refuses to make an appearance no matter how many times I refresh a page. So yes, EC dropping is a very tedious job and yet I continue to persist. Why you as
k? Simply because I've become so accustomed to my daily EC round that I'd feel incomplete if I go to bed without completing my 300 drops for both my blogs! ;)

What I love most about EC is the greater exposure it has given Wishing On A Falling Star and MPG. I've met countless names and faces via EC and many of them have turned out to be wonderful friends who eventually follow my blog and their updates. I've also discovered ma
ny awesome new blogs, which I had no idea existed prior to joining EC. Furthermore, the concept of earning credits, which can be used to advertise my blogs at other EC members' blogs is also very appealing. I am an ardent fan of advertising. This cannot be avoided, since my job as a copywriter revolves around advertising and writing ad copies that sell, so whichever way I turn, advertising (EC or otherwise) plays a huge role in my daily work and blogging routine. :)

In a nutshell, I seriously think I am addicted to EC, and with t
hat come accepting Entrecard with both its advantages and shortcomings. I am very much aware that EC dropping is not one task to be taken lightly. It requires serious commitment, time and effort on your side so I truly appreciate all my droppers who visit me daily to drop off their EC at my blog. Though I have plenty of credits to spare, rewarding my Top EC Dropper with credits simply does not make sense, thanks to the new EC rule which allows us to transfer only 1000 credits a week. By the time I get around to transferring the monthly EC credits I award to my Top Mariucans here and at MPG, it'll be time to start making my transfer for the next month.

So after much thinking, I've finally decided on the best way to reward my faithful EC droppers. Starting from December, I will be featuring my Top EC dropper in my sidebar YAY! So allow me to say a hearty CONGRATULATIONS to Picture to People for being my Top Dropper at Wishing On A Falling Star for the month of November!

Depending on the appearance and suitability of your EC avatar, my Top EC Dropper will either receive a picture link OR a text link. Either way, your link will remain in my sidebar for one whole month! This I hope this will suffice in expressing my appreciation for your constant drops at my sites. As an EC dropper myself, I know just how difficult it is sometimes for us to persist through our routine, so hopefully this will deter you from giving up on EC when it is going through one of their usual slow moments or on Mariuca for that matter.

And with that, I am signing off for the day. I still have so many things to work on tonight, starting with my EC round for Mariuca of course, see ya later and Happy dropping! :)
