The race to be my Top Mariucan is finally over and it was the toughest one yet with several newcomers vying their way to make it to my Top 10 Mariucans list! After whining and crying over at her blogs, LadyJava managed to retain her throne here as my Top Mariucan for October! Even I was shocked to see LJ making her comeback yet again at the eleventh hour, in her quest to prove her love for Mariuca, congrats LJ! :)
I was out the whole afternoon and by the time I arrived home later in the night, I was surprised to see the many comments coming in from LJ since 8.37pm. From a mere 11 comments since my last TC widget post, LJ has been slowly but surely, securing her post on my Top 10 Mariucans list! LJ has been my Top Mariucan here for the past 7 months, but this month was a tough one for her as she spent quite some with her mom in Singapore and could not blog from there. She also faced some serious competition from Grandy, Debbs, Rizal and Emila who were more than fierce in their commenting skills as well! Towards the end of the month, due to other commitments, Rizal and Emila had to step back from their commenting time, which left Grandy, Debbs and LJ competing for my Top 3 spots.
I couldn't help laughing by myself, reading LJ's comments to me. She had a tactic of her own and decided not to disturb anybody by commenting on a "secret post" LOL! It was hilarious to see her cowering away in a corner of the post, keeping herself entertained with her funny comments; hoping nobody would discover her hide-out! I could see her panic each time a commentator dropped by, willing them not to mention her sudden jump to Number 1 LOL! She was doing so well when finally Roxy came along and gave her up with the following comment! ;)
Oh my goodness...I just noticed that LJ has made an amazing 11th hour come from behind effort to overtake Grandy by 100 comments...yowza! - Roxy
That triggered an immediate response from Grandy, who had gone to sleep the previous night being top of the list! I was amused to see Grandy frantically jumping back into action, surprised at how LJ had managed to pull a fast one on her ha ha! I was already ROTFL at Grandy's shocked comments when her faithful sidekick Debbs, logged on to keep Grandy company. These two have been inseparable this month, each one calling out to the other whenever one is online so they both could chat and keep each other company. They became fast friends here and I'm happy Mariuca could provide the ideal playground for them to forget their worries and have some fun by chatting and getting to know each other better. And for Debbs to be all the way here in Malaysia with Grandy way over there in the US, I say that's one of the most beautiful display of long-distance friendships I've yet to see at Mariuca! :)
It was hilarious to see Debbs and Grandy bewildered at LJ's sudden jump and I cheered loudly for my three lovely ladies in my chat box. I did not want to get in the way of the three of them, fast and furious in their commenting to ensure their Top 3 spots here!
Ten minutes to midnight saw Grandy conceding the Top Mariucan spot to LJ, with Debbs close behind consoling Grandy! All three later congratulated one another and agreed that it was a well-played race and just like me, they too had a blast! I know some of you will not be as free to comment like mad for November so I am truly grateful for your time and effort this month. I was much entertained by all your comments and I had the best month ever with all my Mariucans who participated in my Top Mariucan race for October. I'm just so moved by your love and loyalty for Wishing On A Falling Star!
Thank you to everyone who has made it so much FUN here for me and my other Mariucans, I hope to see you back in November and CONGRATULATIONS! :)

It is not often one gets to truly experience the price of friendship in its noblest form. To have Grandy coming out of the blue, trying her best to be my Top Mariucan for October (while recovering from a recent surgery too!) was touching to say the least. To see the friendship that formed between LJ, Grandy, Rizal, Debbs and Emila here was one worth blogging about. To witness LJ sacrificing her entire evening to ensure her Top Mariucan throne remains hers and solely hers, depicted loyalty and love one can only imagine! Thanks to YOU, my wonderful Mariucans, I got to experience the beauty of true friendship this month with a big bang ending tonight. Now that ... is PRICELESS!
