Blog Makeover Anyone? *

Well, November is coming soon so I thought I'd squeeze in another post or two before October ends. November is going to be a cool month for I will be celebrating the birthday of both my blogs, Wishing On A Falling Star and Mariuca's Perfume Gallery!

I'm excited thinking that it's going to be 2 whole years since I first started blogging, and I've started some early preparations for Mariuca. She has to look good on her birthday right? So I've been busy conjuring ways on how I can help add more ummmmph to Mariuca and as usual, I started early but at a slow and steady pace.

The first thing I did was to get a new template for Mariuca about a month ago! Now, before you exclaim over my ability for blog-tweaking and handling my own makeover, allow me to direct your attention to the person who actually aided me every step of the way to make my layout what it is today - none other than my current Top Mariucan who is a cat lover like me and also my BBF (Best B&B Friend) - LadyJava!

I was lucky to have caught LJ when she was still giving out her services for free, cause if I didn't have LJ to help me with all the messy HTML stuff required to create my new look, I would be totally lost! Yes, I can very well download any new template and have it up, but to have it complete with additional stuff like a background, or a certain picture at my sidebar or the little falling star you see at the bottom of my page or changing the colours of my template and so on, it requires some major HTML tweaking and what not, which unfortunately is simply not my forte. That's why I was so grateful to LJ for helping me with Mariuca's makeover.

Since helping me with my template, LJ has recently started her own blog makeover business, where she will provide you with her tweaking services, for a small fee of course. What I liked most about working with LJ was her patience and understanding for my requirements. She was extremely patient with me - perfectionist Mariuca! When I asked her to show me a couple of samples before we could even begin the process of changing templates, she did it happily! When I asked her to help me change MPG's look yet again, barely a month after MPG's first makeover, she was more than willing. And even when I was fussy about the smallest things, she emailed me a long explanation with reasons why certain things could not be done and even added a couple of suggestions to make me feel at ease! SIGH! Whatever will I do without my faithful and talented makeover buddy LJ? ;)
