Universal Studios Singapore, Part 3

I am back and how was your CNY holiday? Ours saw us busy sleeping, visiting, eating and of course dreaming about vacations and staying in fancy apartments in New York or Amsterdam! It’s just a dream but one that got
B and me going for the entire week! rindu

This travel post, I’ve decided to return to Universal Studios, Singapore. I hope my switching back and forth from one country to another is not too confusing. Last I stopped,
B and I had just finished touring Far Far Away and our next stop was The Lost World, B’s favourite zone! Smiley

Initially, we wanted to go on the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure river raft ride but the queue for this attraction was way too long. We opted for the Canopy Flyer instead which gives riders a bird’s eye view of Jurassic Park.

What a long wait!

While queuing, I was calm, cool and collected but when it was finally our turn to get on the ride; I was suddenly gripped with fear! In the end, I got through the ride screaming with eyes closed all the way. I think it’s the idea of my feet hanging in the air that scared me; it felt like I was going to fall! Thankfully, I survived this ride albeit with shaky knees!gigitjari

Next, we moved on to Ancient Egypt and this zone was simply spectacular!

B and I were both in awe at the amazing statues and structures in Ancient Egypt. Revenge of the Mummy was another roller coaster we didn’t try because it sounded terrifying from what we read. Plus, the amount of visitors eagerly waiting to get on this ride was a great deterrent so we settled for photos only.

By the time we arrived in Sci-Fi City, my camera battery had died and we are now depending on B’s iPhone for pictures. It was also late evening and we were both exhausted from the heat and from walking nonstop since morning. We breezed through Sci-Fi City, which was fairly small and headed for New York and Hollywood!

I was definitely looking forward to NY and it really felt like I was one of the many busy New Yorkers walking down 5th Avenue all the while admiring the stores and New York apartments in the city! This zone sure did bring back some great New York memories for me! ihikhik

Hollywood was filled with glitzy merchandise stores and this was where we did our final souvenir shopping. Prices range from medium to high but we did manage to find some awesome gifts from friends and family so that was great! tepuktangan

The sun was coming down and a slight breeze was cooling down the scorching evening. There are 7 different zones in Universal Studios Singapore and we were thrilled to have toured them all! It was an exhausting excursion on sunny Sentosa Island but one that will definitely last us a lifetime. Farewell USS, we had a blast! Smiley
