I recently received an invitation to attend a reunion cum gathering for ex-Widener students now back home in Malaysia. It's a potluck event organized by our former President of the Widener University International Students Association and will be held in KL.
It's been years since I've met up with old friends and former students but the reunion date coincides with another function B and I have committed to attend. Plus, potluck is really not my kind of thing. I'd much rather bring a dish on my own without having it made into an "obligation". So I've declined the invitation but I can't help wondering how everyone's doing after all these years.
I was not one of those students residing on campus; it was cheaper living slightly further in a rented apartment. My room was really small by the way! In fact, it was so tiny that I hardly spent any time in it besides sleeping. Of course I tried my best to spruce things up with the usual Posters and Prints and what not. I was on a scholarship so I had to make do with cheaper things but after securing a job in the university library, I could afford better and pricier items like Wall Decor, Decals and more.
Anyway, I came across an awesome site befitting today's students living on campus, which I thought I'd share here. TheGoodLifeOnCampus.com offers a wide range of products for college students such as mirrored wall decor, room dividers, candle holders with electric tea lights and more. There is also a very interesting section featuring fun and bizarre stuff including a Star Trek Web Cam, Giant Microbe plush toys, ice cream makers and the ultra cool Laptop and iPod Skins designed from various artists from around the world.
My favourite item in this online store is definitely the Mini USB Fridge, which keeps your drink cold while you’re working at your computer. Just plug in the Fridge and the cold plate chills to the perfect temperature; pretty cool right?
If you fancy this cute tiny fridge, check out the rest of the products available at TheGoodLifeOnCampus.com. Have fun decorating your dorm and don't forget to savour every moment of your student days. Because once you start working in the real world, you might not have the time for fun silly toys like this!
