I am exhausted from my busy day! B and I did some last-minute shopping for the Chinese New Year celebration tomorrow. I was expecting the mall to be empty but it was still crowded with bustling shoppers. Thank goodness we easily found a parking space and I also got myself a really cool pair of heels for my upcoming reunion!
The initial plan was to get my hair done at the hair salon but most places were packed so I scratched that thought, which means I'll be washing my own hair tonight! By the time I got home it was late so dinner started late but I managed to cook three yummy dishes.
Now that we've finally had dinner, I can take some time to breathe and check my email. The first mail I read was a domain renewal reminder from GoDaddy. My domain name will expire in a month or so and GoDaddy usually sends me an early reminder, which is good. When I get too busy like today; I tend to forget many things, important ones too mind you. So the reminder was timely indeed.
As you all know, I have three blogs and this reminder is for my cat blog, which I opened last year in April. I am using FREE web hosting so every year, I only need to worry about renewing my domain name and nothing else. So far, I have no qualms with using free web hosting for my blogs and aside from the technical glitches once in a very blue moon, I am very much pleased to retain my stand with free web hosting.
Having said that, I don't know what lies ahead in the future. I might opt for paid web hosting later on especially since some paid web hosting providers allow you to block certain sites or people from your site. My "stalker" is back it seems and having unwanted people snooping around my blogs is something I can definitely do without!

I understand completely you being busy as well as wanting to protect your site. After all, they are YOUR sites, and you should be able to protect you and them how you see fit.
At one time, I had a way to block unwanted visitors to my site, but the domain I got it from expired. So it no longer works and it even makes my page unresponsive. Should I see one later, I'll let you know.
