Back From the Hospital **

Finally my baby is back at home and my cats and I can breathe easy once more. Benji was the most miserable while B was away, sulking and scratching at our bedroom door thinking B was hiding inside! Right now, I have to play nurse to B for the next 2 weeks where he will be confined at home and not allowed to go anywhere aside from the clinic and the hospital.

The surgery was successful and the pain level B was suffering from prior to the surgery has tremendously reduced by a whopping 80%, which is great. He is still a little wobbly on his feet so there's still no walking, driving or moving around.

Though still in pain, it is now due to the post-surgery recovery. His wound is an open one, which means there are no stitches and we'd have to change his dressing daily until the wound closes by itself. This could take up to 3 weeks so B will be at home recovering and not working for practically the whole month of Jan. By the way, the final bill came up to almost RM5,000 but thank goodness for good employers and B's expenses were covered by his!

I have to give appreciation to Doctor Naqiyah and staff at DSH for their professionalism and efficiency in dealing with my hubby's case. When B was admitted on Thursday, we were immediately attended to. The whole process was given urgency due to his dire condition and the procedure was completed within a few hours of being admitted. The nurses were friendly and well-versed in what they were doing. All my questions were properly answered and my every request entertained. I seriously had no reason to complain or throw a tantrum, which means this hospital definitely remains as my number 1 choice when it comes to health care. Both times B was admitted to the hospital within the space of 2 years saw us leaving very much satisfied and happy with the results.

I also wanna say a BIG THANK YOU to our family and friends who sent their well wishes our way, either here through my blog, via Facebook, text messages and Twitter. Thanks so much for your concern and I gotta say it really did ease our burden these last few days knowing we are surrounded by wonderful people who also shared our sorrow during this trying moment.

A special THANK YOU also goes out to my MIL, SIL, Azri and Hans for going the extra mile by lending us their time and effort in helping B come home to me safe and sound once again. It was an exhausting, depressing week for me and though we are not completely out of the woods, we are thankful that the worst part is over.
