I’ve been featured on The Diva Network as Guest Contributor this week! This is cool simply because it’s the first time one of my posts has been selected for another site.
When I wrote Love In Disarray, I had a close friend in mind, which made it a rather personal affair, requiring the right choice of words so as not to offend anyone. I was glad to receive positive feedback for this post but now, to have it recognized as appealing enough to be read by others on a different site is flattering to say the least!
The perfectionist in me constantly aims to please. I try to ensure my posts are well-written, free from spelling or grammatical errors and more importantly, worthy of note. Writing also does not constitute merely stating my say, as the writer. What’s more meaningful is engaging my readers in a piece that is compelling enough to touch or move them in any way, if only for an instant. If my writings help others view matters differently, or nudge readers to relate to my words and perhaps form a smile, wistful or joyous, on their faces - only then would I feel truly acknowledged as a writer. To me, this is what makes the whole process worthwhile!
