Blogger Gathering 2010 at Hard Rock Cafe KL was filled with pleasant discoveries and new beginnings. It was a little weird to finally put a name to the face in person and to hear the way everyone speaks or behaves when outside our respective blogs but when I say weird, I mean it in a good way. It was also a great start to renewed faith in wonderful friends and memorable moments.
When B and I arrived, everyone who was already there gave us a rousing welcome though I suspect it's mostly for us arriving fashionably late!

And though we've spoken to each other so many times online, it was equally exciting to meet them in person. 
After much discussing with B, I decided to try the one and only pasta dish on the menu. Unfortunately, the Prawn marinara spaghetti was just okay. I give it a 4/10 and that's only thanks to the garlic bread that came with my dish. I should have ordered the more typical HRC food like burger or nachos but as usual I was aiming for adventurous, which backfired with this bland first-try dish.
Prawn marinara spaghetti B had the Chili crabmeat dip, which we both thought sounded yummy from the menu description. When it arrived, we were once again disappointed. As starters, it was very plain and there was absolutely nothing distinctive about the sauce to signify this dish as the so-called famous Singapore chili crab! This one gets a 4/10 too.

In case you don't already know, Emila is one of my dearest friends and she handles my blog banners. LJ on the other hand, handles my blog template so these two ladies are the power behind my blogs. Equally talented in their own niche, I trust no one but them when it comes to tweaking my blogs.
It was really awesome to finally be able to hang out with my two creative and talented blog friends at the same place and time, thanks for coming ladies!
Grilled Norwegian salmon fillet for Emila & ShemahAs expected, LJ kept to her mysterious identity but here's the closest glimpse you will get of her who was bubbly throughout the event. Her nonstop laughter kept ringing in the night and it made me as I'm sure the rest as well, very much at ease with her presence. 
Most of my blog friends epitomize the very essence of their blogs but I was still pleasantly surprised to see Haaziq looking even cuter and smaller in person but just as friendly as he is online.

Soulie & HaaziqPower couple Bem Bem and Soulie (pic below) was all smiles with their first baby due soon. Soulie was positively glowing that night and I wish her a successful and healthy delivery next week!

Marvic came looking amazing that night and I kept gushing over how good she looked in her little black dress! I'm happy we got to meet in person Marvic!

Along with his charming wife, they made for good company and of all the dishes ordered that night, I daresay Adrian's fajitas looked the most promising; great choice!

Seated beside Adrian were Bella and her date, who were the last to arrive due to terrible traffic. Another one who's camera-shy, Bella was a delight to meet and while B was engaged in a little vacation conversation with her date, she was kind enough to snap a picture of her choice dish for me, thanks sweetie!

Of course the gathering would not have been complete without a picture of me presenting a special token to one of my recent Where is Mariuca? contest winners. I do hope you love the prizes LJ and thanks for coming to the gathering to receive your win in person! 
I made a short stop at the Rock Shop to finally fulfill my mission for B. I love that I ended this gathering with another purchase by the way! And at long last, after writing about my noble intention to getting admitted into B's prestigious HRC shot glass collection more than 3 years ago; I happily paid for the KL version that night. Better late than never and what a great reminder this shot glass makes for an amazing night of Blogger Gathering 2010!

I think Friday night is not a good time to have gathering cos many places are packed with people and the road also jammed up! Some more in KL!! Better have it in PJ - less jam and food nicer too! Haha! PJLT what! : D

It comes as no surprise to me that LJ keeps her persona of remaining a mystery to us even at the gathering. We still heart her though! All the rest of ladies look great as always. Even Haaziq made an appearance! Off the hook!
