I am now the proud owner of my very own birthday online and I only had to pay ONE buck! How cool is that? Pretty darn awesome if you ask me especially since it's a mere $1! That's right; it is very cheap and oh so affordable so there's no need to break your piggy-bank or anything drastic like that.
I got to know about Buy Own Day last week and apparently the deal is too good to miss especially with my birthday approaching soon. An online acknowledgment of the day I was born would make an inexpensive yet meaningful birthday gift for yours truly. How it works is really simple too so read on to join in the fun!
Start by choosing the day you would like to purchase such as your blog anniversary, birthday for a special someone, your parents' wedding day, your graduation or any other day you would like to recognize. You can even buy a block of dates and each one is still priced at $1 per day. In my case, I decided to buy August 29, which is my birthday.
Once you've selected your day, proceed to customizing the look and feel of your special day. Leave a description for the day, add your own picture or smileys to express your mood and don't forget to add a link to your own site as well. The incurable romantic in me decided to describe my birthday with a favourite love quote by the way.
Payment is made via PayPal and when your transaction clears, you will receive an e-mail with a confirmation receipt to officially acknowledge the ownership of your special day. Now, no other person in the world has the right to buy that particular day; making it ultra exclusive and uniquely yours! This is how my special day looks like. Pretty cool right?
