Scramble-Struck!

I once said that I am not addicted to Facebook and I'm still standing my ground. I am however, admitting to being hooked on one game there … SCRAMBLE! Similar to Boggle, Scramble is a word finding game that challenges you to live games with other players or you can invite friends to a turn-based match. It serves as an excellent stress-reliever for me; one that is not only fun but helps to increase my vocabulary and spelling skills too.

I have always fancied myself to be a good speller and I love words, so when I discovered Scramble, there was no turning back and I’ve been spending most of my free time playing it online. So far, I'm having loads of fun playing Scramble with some wonderful blog friends like Bobby, Emila, Nessa, LJ and Jesse and now, I would love to take on new challenges with other players. Besides Scramble, I have been playing Facebook Poker too. I first learned how to play poker during a holiday spent with my younger sister in UK. We were both students then; she was in Sheffield, UK and I was in Pennsylvania, USA. The plan that Christmas holiday was for me to go home to Malaysia. Unfortunately, there were no available flights during that peak season and I made a spontaneous decision to visit my sister in UK instead. For two whole weeks, I spent my mornings sleeping and my evenings shopping. Nights were reserved for dining, clubbing followed by some serious poker!

When I returned to the US, I gained enough confidence to join in the poker sessions with the students there. It was fun to play with the guys because they seemed to underestimate my playing skills but I did give them a run for their money with a few good hands! It has been years since I last played poker, so I am somewhat rusty now. I guess that explains why I have been losing terribly on Facebook Poker; thank goodness real money is not involved!
