Wake Up Sleepyhead!

B woke up this morning to the realization that he slept right through his Liverpool match and boy, was he in a bad mood! This particular match was of extreme importance; something about Liverpool having to win in order to proceed to the Champions League knockout stage I believe. In between complaints, he told me that he set his alarm clock to ring 10 minutes before the match lest he should fall asleep. He even had some coffee while watching the build-up programme just to stay awake. Despite his best “efforts”, he dozed off 5 minutes to kick-off. And that was when he asked me “Why didn’t you wake me up?”.

Flabbergasted, I defended myself by insisting that I tried my best to wake him up! In fact, when Liverpool scored their first goal, I purposely cheered loudly, but he didn’t flinch. When his alarm clock went off several times, he simply continued to snore. I even gave him a nice foot massage, to which he insisted he had absolutely no recollection of and grumpily went off to work!

So after our little episode this morning, I decided to get a new alarm clock; one that is powerful enough to rouse my sleepyhead from the deepest slumber! I came across several great options at SaveBuckets like the Neverlate alarm clock for instance. Apparently it’s suitable for people who always sleep through their alarm. Sure sounds like B doesn’t it? Or perhaps this Flying Alarm Clock will do the trick. When the alarm goes off, this clock will actually fly around the room, buzzing like a mosquito! You have to get up and catch it first before you can turn it off! That’s a sure-fire way to rouse anyone, even my dearest B!

I could go on and on about my other choices, but it’s getting rather late. So I’ll sleep on it for now and tomorrow, I’ll compare prices on all the other alarm clocks available and decide on the best one for B. Hopefully when he sees my choice, he’ll take it as me doing him a favour … why didn’t I wake him up it seems! ;)

I'm sure I'm first commentator..hehe... anyway... I think I need one of those alarm clock as well.. the flying one suits me just fine.. I'm dead to the world too when I'm asleep and after my alarm goes off, I'll put it to "snooze" several times which means I probably be late by the time I wake up.. Luckily hubby light sleeper, he's my alarm clock now..hehehhe

Yay your Savebuckets post is up already! We like the way u write your reviews. Always associate your reviews with your beloved family! Hehe.

Oh boy your B sure is an angry man right now. But the Flying Alarm Clock would be a great idea! Coz from our experiences, we tend to wake up more easily when we hear mosquitoes buzzing in our ears. LOL! So the Flying Alarm Clock should do the trick for him just like the mosquitoes. =)=)=)

What? You didn't wake him up for such an important match? How could you? Patut la he went to work grumpy! LOL!

I'd have just poured cold water all over him .... LOL!

Marzie! You committed the biggest sin by not waking the poor guy up to watch the match! No wonder he was so grumpy...moreover you watched it and cheered when they scored...some more giv him afoot massage..of course he'll sleep more. Poor B! :):):)

I agree with Nick...you should have just poured cold water on him LOL!!! :)

Cheers GP! :)

Mariuca November 30, 2007 8:05 PM

And then later, when he went to work, everyone happily congratulated him on "his win" but he couldn't really enjoy it know what I mean? Ha ha ha ha...poor B! :):):)

Mariuca November 30, 2007 8:06 PM

Hello Supermom! It's okay, his team won anyway, just that he missed the entire action and it was a good match too it seems!

Hey, the gadget is really cool, I want to get for me too he he he! :):):)

Mariuca November 30, 2007 8:07 PM

Hola Bokjae, I can't wait for tommorow to see what u have for me, YAY!! :):):)

Raghav November 30, 2007 11:03 PM

Nice Way to wake up B. poor chap.... if u get the new clock u were describing, he will have to suffer a lot.....

but one thing, he will get a free body warm up by the time he catches it to switch it off. i don't know, who gets such vague idea to create some such funny thing.

if i'm on a good sleep, even if u come & put a bomb around me, i'll still be sleeping.

hahaha....

try u'r luck to get the best of the clock for Mr. B this christmas.

Enjoy!

Now go & sleep.
Regards & Best Wishes,

I'm probably not going to make any friends with this comment, but I just can't get into watching sports any more. I was cured when I watched the Los Angles Lakers Dream Team fall apart in the championship and reflected how many hours, wait, days, no, weeks I wasted watching them play. What was in it for me....really. Sorry guys, I just don't get it any more.

Mariuca December 01, 2007 3:53 PM

Ooooh sorry to hear your team lost Mel! It's okay, take a break from sports for now. You might miss it after a while and enjoy it even better after your break. :):):)
