Celebrate Aidilfitri with Mariuca!

Raya is around the corner! The most joyous festival for Muslims, Hari Raya Aidilfitri signifies the end of our fasting month and the beginning of a month long celebration. And I'm thinking, what better way for you to brighten up your Raya than WINNING this lovely Mariuca Mug? Yes, it’s time for my second contest and this time I’m giving away a cool green Mariuca Raya Mug!

As you can see, Mariuca is happily holding a bunga api (sparkler) and clad in a sweet turquoise blue Baju Kurung, which is the quintessential Malay female attire. You can also see some pelita (oil lamps) at the back of the mug. They are normally lit and placed outside homes but nowadays decorative lights are used as convenient replacement for the traditional pelita. A string of ketupat (rice cakes wrapped in coconut leaves) completes the entire Raya look for this mug. Ketupat is traditional Hari Raya fare and usually served with beef rendang (beef cooked with spices and coconut milk).

This mug is my way of thanking Mariuca's readers, friends and supporters so I'm making it really easy for one lucky person to bring Mariuca home! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post to be in the running to WIN this adorable Mariuca mug! The contest is open to ALL Mariuca and Mariuca's Perfume Gallery members from MBL and BlogCat! If you're not a Mariucan yet, just click here to join My MBL Community or My BlogCat Neighborhood before leaving a comment on this post. Now, check out the rules below:

Now, for some information on the mug. This Mariuca mug was specially ordered by me from the very creative Emila. It was hand painted using Pébéo Porcelaine 150 paint, and then laid to dry for 24 hours before baking in the domestic oven at 150 degrees Celsius for 35 minutes. Remarkably resistant to dishwashing and normal detergents, the paint does not wear off after washing.

Have fun and GOOD LUCK! :)
