MM – A Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay *

This week, I am truly, madly and deeply in love with Coldplay and their recently released song 'A Sky Full of Stars'. If you have not heard this number yet, do take a listen. Then, tell me you love the lyrics and the melody as much as I do!

First and foremost, I just love the dreamy song title. A Sky Full of Stars also makes me believe in everything that’s nice in the world and it allows me forget the sadness and uncertainty that sometimes seep through our daily lives. More importantly, I think of blue skies, rainbow and everything inspiring whenever I listen to the words especially.

Such a beautiful feel-good tune truly deserves a dedication in its honour so this one goes out to my Darling - Happy Music Monday!

It’s been a while since I joined the popular meme Music Monday and though I usually have a song in mind, I never seem to get around to posting my selection.

Let’s change that this week with two equally awesome versions of Passenger’s Let Her Go; first by Cole Vosbury, one of my favourite contestants from The Voice Season 5 followed by an equally haunting version from the talented 13-year old Jasmine Thompson.

Music Monday - Daylight by Maroon 5 *

If you are still not following this season of The Voice, I suggest you start watching this week! Aside from the great entertainment every Sunday night, you can also feast your eyes on the oh-so-hot Adam Levine as he coaches his last standing protégée Amber Carrington; still in the running to bring home the champion title.

My personal favourite left in the competition is Sasha Allen from Team Shakira by the way so good luck to the ladies! This week, I am not featuring a performance from Sasha but rather one from her ex-coach, Adam. I love Maroon 5 and I have featured them a few times on Music Monday and this week is no exception.

Listen to the words of Daylight. You will fall in love with Adam, with the beautiful song and hopefully will start watching The Voice S4 too so you and I can ‘discuss’ the results later online (hi Nessa)!

MM - Over You by Cassadee Pope *

I have a new song playing over and over in my head ever since I heard it performed by Cassadee Pope on The Voice. You gotta watch the whole video clip to see the story behind this sad beautiful song and how Cassadee got Blake Shelton all teary for her heartfelt rendition; sincerely touched and looking almost smitten towards the end when she really got into the song to bring it home with a standing ovation from the coaches.

Guess I am in the mood for sad beautiful songs tonight and apparently Over You Cassadee style has been on repeat on my player since forever! Happy Music Monday and hope you too will share my sentiments when listening to this song, which recently clinched the 2012 Country Music Association Award for Song of the Year.
