Lost in Translation

As a freelance copywriter and translator working from home, I am constantly on the lookout for new clients and jobs. Ever since I started my home business, I've done so many copywriting and translation jobs on every possible topic. At times I even provide free translation for my loyal clients - if they catch me on a good day of course! ihikhik

In my line of work, I receive all types of copies to be translated into English or Malay. Most of them are creative copies meant for print ads, TV commercials and so on but I also receive technical jobs like the Myasthenia Gravis medical sales brochure I recently completed for a client. Although technical jobs as such keep me up most nights; pulling my hair in frustration when the words get too technical for my liking, I still welcome the challenge. The satisfaction of knowing I've completed yet another difficult translation job to add to my portfolio is what keeps me going. Smileys

I've yet to venture into online translation though so that is something I am working on right now. I hear Translia is a great new translation site recommended for translators like me who are constantly making ends meet with whatever jobs we can secure to fund our freelance life. I've just registered with Translia and right now, I'm in the midst of filling out my details. Wish me luck on my new venture peeps and enjoy your weekend! Smileys
